According to Lonely Planet, Belize’s animal and plant life are the stars of the country because of the conservation of forests and reefs.

“Getting to see the animals and to identify and understand the plant life is in large measure a matter of having a knowledgeable guide. Resorts, lodges, hotels and tour agencies throughout the country offer a range of tours, nature walks, birding trips, botanical trails and other activities for nature lovers”, states Lonely Planet, the largest travel guide book publisher in the world in an article entitled “Wildlife in Belize”.
