This year’s Placencia Lobsterfest 2015 is on June 19, 20 and 21st and is Placencia Village’s biggest fundraising event coordinated by the PVC and the Placencia Tourism Centre.

The Lionfish Competition is on June 19 with $2800 in prizes followed by the Annual Lobsterfest Fishing Tournament on June 20th with a $3000  prize for top boat plus many more cash prizes.

The entertainment headliners are Gilharry 7 on Saturday night, New Sensation Band on Friday night  along with daytime acts such as Ozzy the Clown, Benque Viejo Marching Band, Emmeth Young and the Talla Walla Vibration Band and Harlem Youths to name a few. The festival will close with Placencia’s own Persuaders on Sunday night at “The Father’s Day Dance”.

“Keep it Green & Clean” is the theme this year with stadium cups that can be re-used and are great keepsakes, 5 gallon water stations with biodegradable cups with food vendors using the same green disposables at a discount. We are asking that no one bring Styrofoam on site.

Of course the real draw are all the amazing lobster dishes that will be for sale like lobster pie, pizza, grilled whole lobster plus much more.

Other exciting events at this award winning festival include the Old Master Rum Punch Competition, Placencia BTIA raffle and the Placencia Rotary Duck race.
